Our Summer orientation program is designed for new students who are embarking on their post-secondary experience here at UWindsor. This year we’re bringing Head Start to you with a brand new virtual platform that is going to make your Head Start experience a great one, all from the comfort of your own home.

This year we’re having 3 virtual orientation sessions. Feel free to attend the sessions that are most relevant to you. Below you can check out the schedule for each session.
Learn about the differences between high school and university and what it takes to be a successful student on our campus.
Get the inside scoop on what it’s like to be a student in university from upper year students already attending the university.
Meet our student leaders and get valuable information about how you can support your student as they commence on their new academic journey. Learn the important differences between high school and university expectations. Understand the financial commitments required to complete a university program. Leaders will share information about student privacy policies, available mental health resources, academic accommodations, support resources and campus community safety initiatives.
This is your opportunity to meet professors and advisors from your academic program. Learn about your program, various support services available to you, and what you can do with your degree after graduation
Learning how to live on a budget for the first time? Not to worry, this session will provide you with many of the strategies you will need to successfully manage your finances as a post-secondary student. Students will also learn about the many scholarships and bursaries our university offers, how OSAP works and all the important dates to remember.
Take your own customized, personal tour of the campus to see the many resources available! Locate the buildings where some of your classes will be held and get connected with other first year students.
Have a question about the meal plan or a parking pass? Don’t know where to pick up your UWin ID? Any last minute details you need to know from Residence Services? Feel free to visit one of the campus service booths.
For students who have been accepted into Concurrent BA/Bachelor of Education programs, this session will help you navigate your undergraduate degree requirements alongside your Bachelor of Education requirements. All concurrent students that will be teaching grade 7 - 12 need to map out teachables for their first 2 years. Concurrent Psychology, ECE and Education are entering an exciting but very fast paced journey between their degrees and diploma.
This session is only available on the Saturday, July 11 date.

Have all your questions answered, meet your profs and fellow students from the comfort of your couch.
This virtual session is designed specifically to meet the unique needs of mature, transfer and part-time students. We will discuss strategies for academic success and campus resources and supports.
Our Campus Services Fair is open through the event, you can drop in on any of our booths at anytime to ask questions and download relevant materials.
Connect with faculty, staff and current students and get an update on what’s happening on campus, find out about scholarships, financial aid, residence and your next steps in preparing for Head Start Orientation. Meet other UWindsor future students in the networking lounge and have some fun by scoring points for activities. Check out the live leaderboard to see how you’re doing.
